Reservoir Park Seniors / Active Adults - 1735 Hillside Terrace  Akron, OH 44305
The active adults program at Reservoir Park is among a number of group activity and fellowship programs organized by the City of Akron. Most clubs accept members age 55 and older and have nominal membership dues of $5 to $25 per year, depending on how the club structures its activities. Akron East Youth Football Association
The group is part of a city-wide youth football league that includes three divisions of teams from many Akron neighborhoods. They include Pee Wee (up to 125 lbs./ages 7-8); Junior Varsity (up to 140 lbs./ages 9-10); and Varsity (up to 150lbs./ages 11-13 up to 8th grade only) Lineman positions have no weight limit, only age. Good Neighbors has been helping people in Akron for 60 years. Looking at the incredible work they do, it’s amazing that they have over 300 volunteers and just a single part-time paid employee. Volunteers are always welcome; the Goodyear Heights Community Outreach Food Center served over 12,000 families throughout Akron in 2016. You can help!

The Friends of Goodyear Branch Library is an organization committed to supporting the work of the Library. We raise funds for Library projects and activities through book sales, membership donation, and other Friends fund-raising programs. The group also purchases special supplies and materials to support the Library’s programs, collections, and buildings. The Friends group supports the mission of the Library in the community and provide volunteer help to the community when needed.

Dry People’s Club - 172 Britain Rd.  Akron, OH 44305
Did you know AA was founded in Akron? The Dry People’s Club on Brittain Rd. is the only remaining support club in the Founding City. It provides a regular meeting and fellowship schedule for AA members and members of other 12-step programs—along with a full service grille. Breakfast is served all day, and the grill is open from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM Mon. - Thu. & Sun and until 11:00 PM Fri. & Sat.
